Our congratulations go out to the SWW Robotics Team for making it to the semi-finals in last weekend’s FIRST Robotics district competition! The team—which has more than a dozen members this year—showed creativity and grit in competing against 38 other teams, many with much more experience and equipment.

Special thanks to faculty advisers Sydney Bergman and Khalif Muhammad, volunteers Jeff Cadman and Zachary Kahn from Booz Allen, and Phil Loprieoto from GWU for helping the team roll over all kinds of obstacles (planned and unplanned) to such a great result.

Next weekend they’ll be at it again in Edgewater, Maryland. Come on out and cheer them on!
